Schedules, performs and documents preventative maintenance, corrective and emergency repairs on all utility systems and hospital equipment;
Operates and maintains some physical plant equipment including chillers, boilers, air handlers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, cooling towers, and control systems;
Performs PMs and repairs on patient beds and wheelchairs;
Performs general building repairs, painting, plumbing, lighting, and electrical troubleshooting/repair;
Assists in the operation, repairs, and preventative maintenance of all equipment and utility systems;
Maintains skills, licensure, regulatory requirements, and credentials needed to perform assigned duties;
Provides assistance to other personnel regarding equipment, buildings, grounds, parking lots. Uses HEMS to document all work performed throughout the building;
Responds to emergencies involving essential utilities and equipment immediately during working hours and remains onsite until emergency has been resolved;
Acts as a member of the Maintenance on-call team responsible for responding to all after-hours building emergencies during the assigned week;
Keeps the Maintenance Manager appropriately informed about all significant issues and problems and seeks counsel when necessary;
Works with and monitors outside contractors while they are doing work in the hospital to ensure the work is done in accordance with hospital policy and standards. Maintains the necessary parts and supplies to ensure equipment is repaired in a timely manner;
Submits and enters parts and supply requests for approval;
Ensures all mechanical areas are clean and a safe working environment;
Ensures familiarization with the hospital and departmental safety plan and executes all job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner;
Complies with lockout/tag-out policy when working on equipment and utility systems;
Ensures familiarization with requirements specified by DNV/ODH and other relevant accrediting agencies and organizations;
Follows all hospital and system policies and procedures; submits cost effective or safety-related ideas to department heads. Exhibits behaviors reflective of Memorial's core values:

Requirements
Completion of high school education or equivalent; (2) years experience in general building maintenance or equivalent.
Shift
2nd w/ on call rotation every 10 or so weeks.
Hours
40 hours. Payroll processes weekly.
